Product Description
The second largest settlement in Uganda for most of the 20th century is called Jinja. It occupies a peninsula that is surrounded by Lake Victoria to the south and east and the Nile River to the west. This trip will give you the opportunity to get to know the Samuk riverside, as well as the source of the Nile – the longest river in the world.
Day 1:
On the first day, you and your guide will drive to Kampala and set off on Jinja Via Jinja Road. Jinja is located on a paved Nairobi road approximately 82 km east of Kampala. On the way to Jinja, you will have time to eat in Namawojolo. Then you will go to the hotel where you will check in and then rest.
Day 2:
On the second day you will wake up early in your hotel. Your instructor will conduct morning fitness sessions with you. After you have breakfast, you will be transferred to the Nile discovery center for quads. Before you go on a safari, you must undergo training. After your ATV adventure you will head to the sailing club for lunch. After lunch, your boat guide will take you to Samuka Island for a swim. When you are done you will come back to your hotel for dinner and freshen up.
Day 3:
You will start the third day in the same way as the previous one – with fitness. After fitness and breakfast, you will head west of Jinja town to reach the nature park on the eastern shore of the now submerged Rippon Falls. It is here that you will be able to admire the sculpture of Mahatma Gandhi, whose ashes were thrown into the river after his death in 1948. In this park you will board a boat and sail to the source of the Nile before returning back to your hotel to rest.
